With 12 000 hectares of traversing rights in pristine bushveld, the lodge is the only official wilderness concession awarded in the Kruger National Park. Add to that a beautiful setting on the banks of the Multlumuvi Riverbed; exclusive use of some of Kruger’s public roads for game drives well after sunset and a 15km unfenced boundary with the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, and you have a bush escape that leaves the mind unfettered and the spirit soaring.
With no cell phone or internet coverage, this is a holiday, as nature intended.
Stilts raise the 8 spacious and immaculately appointed suites from the riverbank, providing the perfect view of the Mutlumi riverbed. From fine linen, mosquito nets, beautiful bathrooms and overhead fans, no detail has been overlooked. Even the outdoor shower protected by thick reed poles, transforms an everyday activity into a delightful experience. Built from natural materials, the lodge’s environmental impact was kept to a bare minimum; battery power is used for lighting, and a special indigenous reedbed system processes bathroom waste, while all other waste is sorted and recycled wherever possible. We like to call it natural living at its finest.
